Steffen Iversen's Scandinavian spree continued against Swedish Second
Division outfit Bodens BK on Monday night. In the third and final friendly
of the tour, the Norwegian hitman netted twice in four minutes in the first
half to take his tally to five goals in three games. 
Our top scorer last season and the only Premiership player to score in
every competition he played in - Premiership, FA Cup, Worthington Cup, UEFA
Cup and Euro2000 - Iversen tapped home Sergei Rebrov's square pass in the
33rd minute before beating home keeper Joachim Stoltz to Anthony Gardner's
defence-splitting pass and lobbing home his second and our third. 

Iversen was earlier denied in a one-on-one situation by Stoltz and after
the break, saw his chance of a hat-trick blocked on the line by Nils-Ake
Claesson. It wasn't all about Iversen though. Sergei Rebrov looked sharp in
his 73 minutes and had already put us 1-0 up before laying Iversen's first
goal on a plate. With 11 minutes on the clock, the Ukrainian was perfectly
placed to smash home the loose ball after David Ginola's free-kick was
cleared off the line. 

Tim Sherwood ran the show from midfield after coming on at half-time and
thoroughly deserved his goal after 57 minutes, half-volleying into the roof
of the net after Gardner had flicked on Stephen Clemence's corner. After a
few more near misses, the final exchanges belonged to Chris Armstrong. On
as substitute for Rebrov with only 17 minutes left, the striker buried
Sherwood's cross with two minutes remaining and then deliciously dinked
home a last-minute penalty after being fouled in the area.
